Simone Anès
Children
Download
Slight chance this track sounds familiar. In fact, if it doesn’t, go hide in the corner and feel ashamed. ‘Children’, based on Robert Miles’ piano-driven trance classic was given a new twist by German DJ sensation Simone Anès. This talented chick built around the magical, everlasting piano-notes and gave the trance classic a prog-house approach without ruining any of the originality of ‘Children’. A firm, housy track, revolutionary to all the previous remakes that have been done in the past. Her vocals in the build-up make a nice addition to this well-balanced remake.
The Tom Novy is armed to the funky times, giving a shade of electro and deeper progressive to the original by Simone.

M6 & Willem van Hanegem
Origin
Download
The Dutch tech-trance force strikes down with a fleet of 2 young, talented producers. Willem van Hanegem, one half of the hefty W&W guise, and Mark Sixma, better known as M6, join forces on ‘Origin’. Both favouring the big room trance sound we’re used to hearing from them, it’ll be no surprise that ‘Origin’ falls into that same category. Unlike the previous, somewhat ominous sound they’ve shown us before, from M6’s ‘Destination 6′ and ‘Fade 2 Black’ to Willem’s sturdy ‘Stab my Speaker’, the guys now chose to go uplifting all the way. It’s not the standard 4/4 uplifting trance stuff you hear on this track, but a solid, techy flavoured and outstanding sound to shatter across the dance floor. ‘Origin’ is set for bigger purposes, to fit the big room halls and please the masses.
The Tech mix is ‘Origin’ in a more exotic jacket, with gutsy clicks and tasty synth surprises.

Eddie Sender
Call For Justice
Download
Slovakian producer Eduard Palkovksy, working under the Eddie Sender guise, combines all the right flavours. Making name with his ‘Elementate’ and ‘One Day in Moscow’, Eddie is one to watch. ‘Call For Justice’, out on the Ava Blue imprint, is a blend of stirring house sounds, melodic progressive seasoning and soft piano. But most of all, ‘Call For Justice’ is fit for the dancefloor.
‘Call for Justice’ received two new treatments, by Danilo Ercole and Robb. Robb made the track more uplifting, with a great peak-time feel to it, while Danilo brought a hint of summer into this indulging prog-track, with techy elements and a softer approach at the break.

Coldharbour Selections Volume 20
Download
The Coldharbour imprint provides you some delicious goodies! The 20th Volume of the labels’ special selection of tracks is filled with a few very impressive tunes, as is the talent of their creators.
Ukrainian producer Vladimir Dichtyarenko, working under the R.E.N.O.I.S.E. guise, had his first releases in 2007. Two years later, it’s his ‘Dead Wishes’ that comes in as a complete surprise on Coldharbour. The menacing, dark progressive that Vladimir starts off with unfolds itself to a trancy, high-sounding bomb of a tune.
In this package we’ve also got a very special tune by Mike Mikhijan, who’s been working himself up as a critically acclaimed producer to fit the progressive, trance and house scene. His ‘Everlasting Tales’ is an extravagant interplay of melodies, exotic vocal samples and electric flavours.
Last but not least, Coldharbour Selections Vol. 20 presents an up-to-date remix of one of trance’s biggest classics, ‘Hello Strings’. Brazilian producer Danilo Ercole, who’s had a few releases on the Coldharbour label before, has been toying around with the track. His remix is more than just an attempt to upgrade this classic, it honours it. Danilo approached it with his own, original sound. One more than fit for the Coldharbour label. Flashbacks in the form of short samples, building up with great tension and leading to a much-wanted release in the break , are what characterize this remix.
As you can see, Coldharbour Selections Vol. 20 is filled with good stuff. And if you don’t see it yet, go and have a listen. That’ll surely have you convinced of the talent that’s on here.
